Presentation Skills - Visual Aids Effective use of Visual Aids will ensure that even the most boring subjects will interest the audience. Wherever possible use more than one visual aid which will keep the interest of the audience and ensure that they do not get bored! The next slide details the reasons why you should do this! Presentation Skills - Visual Aids People usually associate visual aids with PowerPoint slide shows but use your imagination and creativity to include opportunities for introducing different types of visual aids in your presentation. We have put together a list of other types of visual aids: Flipcharts or Whiteboards - get your audience involved with your presentation - ask for their ideas and detail them on a flipchart or whiteboard Products - If you are presenting a product have some samples to pass around. If this is impractical use photographs or advertising literature Displays or Props - Product displays are great. Props can be great fun! As an icebreaker or to wake up a tired audience use a wrapped sweet or piece of candy as a prop. Before your presentation attach the wrapped candy to the underside of a chair with scotch tape and at an appropriate point ask your audience to retrieve them! Demonstration - Demonstrate a product if possible and get the audience to participate
